This rating allows you to teach instrument flying skills to students pursuing their instrument rating. The CFII may be obtained prior to the CFI rating, however, many flight schools prefer to hire pilots with both CFI and CFII ratings.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Hold at least a commercial pilot certificate
- Hold instrument rating with rotorcraft-helicopter privilege
- Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
Minimum Program Requirements:
- 15 hours flight training
- 15 Hours ground
